Management
Who runs and manages the farm? Can residents help on the farm?
The farm is professionally managed by a full-time team of Agmenity Farm Educators who specialize in operating community farms and agricultural amenities. Agmenity is an industry leader in the agrihood movement who strives to create distinctive farms that work in harmony with the local environment and support the intersection of People, Plants, and Place. They manage multiple community farms throughout Florida and Texas, in addition to offering consulting and design services nationwide.
The farm also offers a regular Volunteer Program, where residents are welcome to join the team and help with a diversity of farm and garden-related activities.
Volunteer
Are there opportunities to volunteer on the farm?
There will be regular opportunities where individuals 14 & older can volunteer to join the team and help with a variety of farm and garden-related tasks. Additionally, there will be seasonal large group volunteer work days that may include fruit tree and orchard plantings, farm beautification, and other activities.
Additional details, times, and schedule elements related to the Volunteer Program will be shared in early 2026. To join our Volunteer Interest List, please contact the farm team at [email protected].
Farming
Is the farm organic?
While The Grow’s farm is not “Certified Organic,” we only use sustainable and organic farming practices that help nurture and support a healthy environment for plants, people, and the larger ecosystem. We deeply believe in growing beautiful, nutrient-dense food, and no chemical fertilizers or synthetic pesticides are ever used on the farm.
Shop
How do we shop from the farm? Can non-residents buy produce?
People can buy the farm’s produce via the Farm Stand, the Farm Share program, and seasonal Farmers Markets. While the farm is a unique benefit for The Grow’s residents, the Farm Stand and Farmers Markets will be open to the general public, but residents will receive a special discounted rate for their purchases.
Additional details, hours, and locations will be shared in early 2026. As a general overview:
- Farm Stand. Open to the public and initially located near the entrance of The Grow, the Farm Stand will be open on a weekly basis and offers the opportunity to buy a diversity of seasonal vegetables, herbs, and flowers fresh from the farm.
- Farm Share Program. A resident-only benefit, this is a special membership program where households can sign up for a share of the farm’s produce. Members will have access to the farm’s freshest offerings and can choose the specific items they want to receive each week.
- Farmers Market. Open to the public, the Farmers Market will host a diverse collective of local food purveyors, and the farm will have a regular booth offering its fresh, seasonal produce.
Farm Club
Can residents have their own garden plot on the farm? What is the Farm Club?
While the farm’s main fields are managed directly by the farm team and reserved for production, there will be a separate area dedicated to the Farm Club where residents can have their own garden plot.
Similar to a community garden, the Farm Club is a resident-only program where members pay a monthly fee to have their own garden space that can be used to grow their own vegetables and other plants. Members receive direct support and guidance from the farm team, which includes seeds, transplants, compost, fertilizer, and garden tools, in addition to special Farm Club programs and events like breakfasts, potlucks, educational classes, work days, and other member-only happenings.
